Consumers Report  – October 2010 Issue

A New Consumers Report looks at the issue of  unhealthy levels of cadmium and lead in toys.  The report suggests that 30 products tested were found to have high levels of cadmium and lead using x-ray fluorescent technology and other types of analysis.

The issue here is that children will put these types of products in their mouth and the cadmium and lead could leech off and go directly into the child’s system.

A number of these products tend to be children’s jewelry.

In summary, be aware of this issue and have your product tested if you are unsure if your toys are safe or not.

Midwest Laboratories provides this type of testing, if you have questions please call a representative today.

I plan on checking out the article when it is released this week.
