The Sierra Club of California suggests that coal plants and fish could be producing high levels of mercury in the water and air in the Southern California region. Salons were assisting by clipping 30 strands of hair close to the scalp as part of a test to determine the levels of mercury in their hair.

This video is worth watching and I am looking forward to the results of the study. Mercury is a toxic metal and should be monitored on a regular basis. I would also suggest that the Sierra Club should be testing the water close to the coal plant. In addition, it would be helpful to test the actual fish for the presence of mercury.

Midwest Laboratories can perform these types of tests and with the latest in metals technology, mercury levels can be found at very low levels.
