Corn Planting 2011

All of the moisture in April and May has contributed to a very late planting season. Typically, corn growers like to have their crops in the ground by May 15, 2011.  Here is a story of one Ohio grower who is really wanting to get a chance to plant his field.

Here is another view from a Michigan Grower. Patience is the key.

Many growers will be trying to get their crops planted by this weekend. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. A check of December Corn Commodity Prices is showing an upward trend because of this spring’s wet planting conditions.
