Spring Lawn - Fixing brown spotsYour spring lawn is quickly turning thick and green. Now is the time to address those few dead spots in your lawn. I really like this video. It talks about three simple techniques to use when addressing your dead spots. I think the principles in this video can also be applied to a whole section of your lawn to insure a healthy lawn.

  • Aerate – Allow for air and moisture to access the lawn. In addition, the new seedlings will come in contact with the soil cores.
  • Top Dress– Use a pelletized compost to add organics to the soil.
  • Seed – Use a premium seed mix. I have tried cheaper seed mixes in the past and I have found that you get what you pay for.
