Recycle WastewaterI came across an interesting study that makes the case for recycling wastewater to recover water for drought-stricken crops. In the Southwestern United States, dry conditions are making it increasingly hard to find enough water supply to grow crops.

This particular study showed that contaminants like pharmaceuticals and raw food items were absorbed in plants, but the levels were very low and they were far from being dangerous.

Right now only 2-3% of wastewater is recycled.
